Look what I did!

I repaired the upholstery on a chair! That tear was twice as long, I was halfway through the repair job when I took the picture. I finally got to use one of those curved needles. I know right? It was awesome.

My repair job isn't amazing, but I think it's decent enough. The chair belonged to my paternal grandmother. We've had it for ages. It has been the time-out chair for about 12 years now - since my sister's oldest child was born, or rather, since he was old enough to need to go in time-out. The chair is starting to show it's age and I love it even more for that.

  2. Looks great, Deece. I like the carving on the backrest and the fabric. Good you were able to save that antique.

I always think of surgery when I see those curved needles.

  3. BC - Thanks! I wish I knew what I was doing because I don't want to make it worse. But you may have seen from the picture that there are a few stains on the fabric anyway. I do so love that chair. Those needles are awesome!
