I live for this!

I love the Brilliant Star Holiday Bazaar! This year it was held at the Palms Resort instead of the Multipurpose Center - I enjoyed it just the same, but I bet we lost out on some visitors due to the far off location.

Leila of Handmade by Leila (lovely handmade jewelry!) and Tokie Mojica of Leya's Crafts were there. So were Greg Elliot and Joe Kane and other visual artists whose names I have forgotten (I'm sorry). There were some awesome raffle prizes including PIC waterpark passes, DFS gift certificates, and one lucky winner received one of my black ajinoMOTO Racing Shirts!

I only took a few pictures (amazing!) and most of them weren't great. So this is what you get. There was pretty much non-stop entertainment all day.

There was even a belly dancer! And a magician (not pictured).

This was my jam and syrup display. There were individual jars and I put together some variety gift sets - those were gone before the morning was over. I have no more jars and no more money, so I likely won't be making any more of them before Christmas, but I do have a few 6oz jars available and a couple of syrups. I will probably list them this week.
Island Flavor Jams

See the tropical blue messenger bag on the chair in the bottom left of this photo? It's still available. I'll probably list that too. The Ha'ani Bag is sold! Thank you Suzanne, I hope you enjoy it! But the matching mini mama bag is still available. I guess I'll list that too. I'm also going to list whatever Marianas Touch ylang ylang infused body scrubs and coconut oils I still have.

So keep checking in (or even subscribe) so you know when the items are available online. (If you would like the ajinoMOTO Racing shirts, send me an email and I'll let you know how to get them.)

Great Holiday Gifts!

The Holiday Bazaar is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Palms Resort. There will be local crafters and artists selling great holiday gifts. I'll be there too!

I'll have jams and syrups....

2009 Island Flavor Gift Set

some t-shirts and a few bags....and some jams...

Island Flavor 1.25 oz Gift Set

I'll have soaps and ylang ylang infused coconut oil and body scrubs...and some jams...

Island Flavor 6oz Jams

Please come out and support our local crafters and artists; there will also be entertainment and raffle drawings throughout the day.

If you are looking for gifts for family, friends, or co-workers, the Holiday Bazaar is a great way to kick off your holiday shopping. Are you sending gifts off-island? Ayorátá Island Flavor jams and syrups and Ayorátá Marianas Touch bath and body are great ways to share a piece of Saipan with loved ones overseas.

(Yes, the shrinkwrap takes away from the jams just a little, but it shows you that that safety is important to me.)

Ha'ani Bag

I asked my sister to buy me some fabric when she and her family went to Hawaii this past summer. She picked up four great prints for me. I immediately envisioned what I'd make from the other three fabrics, but the fourth. I just wasn't sure what to do with the fourth one.

And then I made this, the Ha'ani Bag (The Day Bag):
Ha'ani Bag

And I love it!

It's got a zipper top.

And three interior pockets.

Ha'ani Bag

It measures about 16" across the top, 12.25" from top to bottom, and it's about 4" deep. The handles are 15" from the middle of the handles to the top of the bag.

Just throw in your stuff and go!
