Well, I don't know what to say because I'm just so freaking happy. I sent off my first etsy order! Also? I delivered an on-island order, finished the purple project, and received another custom order.
The purple project I was working on is done and will be delivered soon. Want to see it?
Coordinating Mother-Daughter Aprons!

I had so much fun working on this order. Not just the actual cutting and sewing, but also the thought process that went into designing them - designing them to coordinate and not be exactly the same apron; and also consider factors like a little girl is constantly growing, so how do I make hers grow with her, at least for a little while. I want to make more.

Front and Back
I hand stitched a flower onto the upper right corner. Cute no? It isn't visible in the picture above because I thought it would be cute to hold a whisk in my hand for the picture and I didn't even consider that a thin wire whisk would be able to totally block it out of the picture.

My client is about the same size as I am and her daughter is 3 and Katelyn is 4, so it was nice to be able to do mock fittings at home.

Front and Back
I want to make more aprons! And I want to make dresses! And I want to make all these other things that I just don't have enough time to make. Do I sound crazy? I think I might be.
Pretty! I am getting tired of using paper napkins & plastic forks everywhere I eat out. Maybe I need to ask you to do a special project like a wrap thingy that holds a fork, spoon, steak knife, chopsticks and like 3 napkins... hmmm... can something like that be made to fit my pant pocket? LOL... I wanna be able to bring it everywhere 'cause I eat everywhere!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. I've made myself a couple aprons, but rarely use them since Allan does most of the cooking. :P
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! Beachcomber - Now that's not a bad idea. Drea - I have aprons, but I usually forget to use them.
ReplyDeleteYou should've let Katelyn hold the egg beater for her pics too! Hehehe!
ReplyDeleteHow cute would that have been? A bowl in one hand and a whisk in the other. And the next time I'll have her in the kitchen working at the stand mixer. :)
